Elmer Beckham Tingle

December 28, 1928 — March 11, 2013

Elmer Beckham Tingle, 84, of Eustis, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. Born in LaGrange, Kentucky, he moved to Florida in 1973. He was a meteorologist for the US Government and served in the US Air Force during Korea & Vietnam . Elmer was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis and a life member of both the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Jean Tingle, Eustis, FL; son, Charles W. Tingle, Flowery Branch, GA; sister, Dorothy Baxter, Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Teresa Gail Tingle Hicks and Rebecca Lynn Tingle Jones. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 9:30 AM. Military graveside services will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM with a scriptural wake service at 7:30 PM.
