Lt. Col. Eileen Marie Hunt, USAF Retired served 30 years during World War II. Korea & Vietnam. Eileen was 96 living in Altamonte Springs and passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas Joseph & Anna Walsh Hunt, she was a graduate of both: Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing where she became a RN and the University of Pennsylvania earning her B.S. in Nursing Education and General Education. Upon her retirement from the US Air Force in 1973, she moved to Central Florida. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis, Women for Hospice of Lake & Sumter Counties, Mount Dora Women's Club, Associate member of the Florida Hospital/Waterman Auxiliary (1000 hour active), Harry Anna Crippled Children's Hospital (1000 hour active). Eileen was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Military Officers Association of America and supported the Non-Commissioned Officer's Association. She is survived by her extended family, The Fiolas, Armand J. Fiola, Gisele Fiola Long, Fleurette Fiola Westbrook and Marc Fiola, The Huskeys, Liz Huskey Beaty, Sara Huskey and Barbie Huskey DePalma. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
