Edna Theresa Snavely, 82, of Umatilla, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. Born in Palm Bay, Florida, she moved to Umatilla in 1971 from Altamonte Springs, FL. She was a Cub Scout Den mother and member of the Umatilla Garden Club. She loved sewing, baking cakes reading books, birthday parties and watching Florida Gators Football on Saturdays. Edna was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis where she was with the Women’s Sodality, part of the Cursillo movement with the Orlando Diocese, a lector, religious education teacher and the RCIA program. Edna is predeceased by her husband, Dean Snavely; daughter, Christia A. Snavely; and infant son, Patrick A. Snavely. She is survived by her 5 sons, Jeff A. Snavely, Sorrento, FL, Tim A. (Antonio) Bermudez, Winter Park, FL, Denise A. (Jack) Meier, Leesburg, FL, Susan S. (Don) Oliver, Eustis, FL, Deana S. (Jim) Blowe, Alakanuk, AK; 3 brothers, Ralph (Myra) Michels, Sanford, FL, Neil (Sheila) Michels, Sanford, FL, Henry (Jean) Michels, Sanford, FL; 3 sisters, Betty Michels, Sanford, FL, Helen Michels, Sanford, FL, Carolyn (Sam) Cacciatore, Indialantic, FL; 2 sister-in-laws, Shirley Hamilton, Kansas, Linda Nettles, Texas; brother-in-law, Stan Haynes, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; and a loving mother & grandmother to many others. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM.
