Dorothy Mae Pickens, 91, of Eustis, passed peacefully on August 13, 2016. She was born in Homeworth, Ohio, married to Robert Pickens in 1948, and together with 2 of their 3 daughters, moved to Eustis in 1957, where her parents Chet & Fern Knoll resided. She worked as the Cashier/Bookkeeper for Igou's Farm & Appliance Store in Eustis for over 30 years. Dorothy was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church, Eustis for over 50 years, where she was an inspiring soloist and member of the Chancel choir, Sunday School teacher, and Elder. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Pickens. Dorothy & Bob had three daughters; Christine Ann (Pickens) Bailes, married to David Bailes, Janine Gail (Pickens) Lester, married to Michael Lester, and Shelby Lea (Pickens) Gracey, married to Rev. Bill Gracey. They were blessed with six grandchildren, Bobby Bailes and Julie Bailes, Julie (Gracey-Brezillac) Hammond, Andrew Gracey, Ryan Gracey, and Sarajane Gracey; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kylene Brezillac and Gabe Brezillac. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Tuesday, August 23 at 7:00 PM, where the family will receive friends from 5-7 pm prior to that service.
