Dorothy Irene Hall

February 5, 1926 — July 24, 2019

Dorothy Irene Hall passed away peacefully in her home in Eustis, Fla. on Wednesday July 24th 2019. She was 93 years old. Dorothy was born in Lyons, Ohio on February 5th 1926 to John and Abbie Smith. After graduating high school in Lyons Ohio, Dorothy left the family farm and moved to Florida to marry the love of her life, William R. Hall Jr. (predeceased). She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Eustis Fla., where she enjoyed doing volunteer work and singing in the choir. Dorothy was well known in Eustis for her kind nature and loving heart. She joyed in helping everyone, and truly lived for it. Taking long walks at midnight around the lake with her children, movies at the drive in donning p.j.s and a well placed mosquito ring on the dash, kick ball under the corner street light on warm summer nights at ten, library visits at night and swimming at the pool under the moon... she worked hard during the day, but, loved it, as everyone knew. Each customer was treated as a respected beloved friend, she was at their disposal, So many memories and good works too numerous to mention. All were equal in her eyes, her heart was colorblind. And, last but not least, she had a special weakness for babies' toes. We miss her terribly, and love her deeply. Our sweet, sweet Mommie. A very loving Wife, Mother, Grand and Great Grandmother. Dorothy was a Beautician and the Owner/Operator of Dorothy’s Curlette Beauty Salon in Eustis for over 4 decades. She is survived by her two children, Deborah Ann Hall Niesner (Grant) Eustis, William R. Hall III (Susan) Fruitland Park. Grandchildren Cambria Rochelle Hall Cayton (Michael) Wildwood, and William R. Hall IV (Hannah) Lady Lake, and Nickolas Alexander Niesner of Eustis. Great Grandchildren Annabelle Iovieno Cayton, of Wildwood, and Mila Elisabeth Hall, Lady Lake. A private graveside gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local Alzheimer's Association.
