Donald E. Whittemore

Donald E. Whittemore, 91, of Mount Dora, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born in Rumford, Maine, he moved to Florida in 1992 from Enfield, Connecticut. He retired from Connecticut General life insurance where he worked in space management. Donald was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora. He served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joanne T. Whittemore, Mount Dora, FL; 4 sons, Stephen Patrick (Diane) Whittemore, Weatogue, CT, James Richard Whittemore, Enfield, CT, Michael John (Debbie) Whittemore, Warwick, NY, Donald Edwin (Leslie) Whittemore, Jr., Geneva, FL; son-in-law, Paul Browning, Sandy, UT; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Garden of Life Chapel at Waterman Village, Mount Dora on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
