Dolly P. Hites

Dolly P. Hites, 79, of Umatilla, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013. Born in Millersburg, Ohio, she moved to Umatilla in 1955 from Millersburg, Ohio. She was a Machinery Operator for Qualtool, Inc in Tavares. Dolly was a member of Bay Street Baptist Church, Eustis, was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Umatilla and Dona Vista Baptist Church. She was an active gardener, loved fishing and giving and caring for others. Dolly is survived by her son, David M. (Tanya) Hites, Grand Island, FL; 2 sisters, Nina Butler, Kilbuck, OH, Mable Goodwin, Holmesville, OH; her loving companion, Robert Vazquez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Hites; daughter, Vivian Hites; 3 brothers, Cletus Varnes, Gene Varnes, William Varnes; 2 sisters, Lucille Varnes, Esther Rine. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
