Dennis Richard Kridel

Dennis Richard Kridel, 80, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Los Angeles, California on April 15, 1943, to Dorothy and Alan Kridel, he was raised in New York, then spent nearly two decades in South Florida, where he met and married his beloved wife, Terrie. They moved to Lake County in 1981. Dennis was a U.S. Army Veteran and bravely served his country in the Vietnam War. Dennis worked in real estate for many years and spent his later career in furniture sales. His work gave him the opportunity to interact with people in the community, which, as a natural conversationalist, was truly a passion for him. Dennis loved the water, everything from taking care of his pool to spending time at the beach, and he instilled that love in his daughters. He enjoyed architecture, art, and military history. He was most happy walking the neighborhood with his faithful dog, Buddy, and spending time with his family. Dennis was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His warm personality and brilliant sense of humor endeared him to all he met. Dennis is survived by his wife, Theresa Kridel of Eustis, FL; daughters, Heather (Stephen) McGrath of North Andover, MA, and Kristen (Aaron) Borders of Westerville, OH; sister Susan (Skip) Ferrer of Stuart, FL; five grandchildren, Caleb, Brennan, Tessa, Annabel, and Noelle; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis, on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to attend. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
