Delbert Lee Bobbitt

Delbert Lee Bobbitt, 83, of Eustis, Fla. (formerly of Leesburg, Ohio) died Wednesday, October 28,
2015 at Hospice House in Tavares, Fla. Delbert was born in Highland, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1983. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1950. He served in the United States Marine Core during the Korean Conflict and after an Honorable discharge he went to work for Rotary Forms in Hillsboro, Ohio for more than 25 years. When he relocated to Florida he started his own printing company Quality Business Forms in Ocala, Fla. Delbert volunteered much of his time and was one of the key founders of the Leesburg, Ohio Little League program, and was the founder of the Little League Basketball program in Leesburg, Ohio. He served on the Leesburg, Ohio City Council where he was one of the people instrumental in improving the town's infrastructure that allowed local businesses the opportunity to grow. He served as a volunteer firefighter for Leesburg, Ohio, and was a volunteer with the Lake Eustis Area Chamber of Commerce. He was also a big fan of sports especially sprint car racing and the sports his children and grandchildren played. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis in 2011; his parents Judson and Daisy Bobbitt; two brother Gene Bobbitt and Larry Bobbitt; and one sister Patty Anderson. He is survived by one brother Kenny Bobbitt of Leesburg, Ohio; three Children Debra Renee (Steve) Teeters of Columbus, Ind., Todd Anthony (Christie) Bobbitt of Eustis, Fla. And Stacey Yvette (David) Emery of Eustis, Fla.; six grandchildren Brent (Megan) Teeters, Lesley (Tom) Horton, Allison and Austin Bobbitt, and Chelsea and Caleb Emery; three great grandchildren, Bailey, Cayden and Bently Horton. Private visitation services were held for the family at Harden Pauli Funeral Home. A small private funeral service with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, November 6 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation with a designation that the funds go to the Tavares House, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL., 32778.
