David W. Magee

David W. Magee, 78, of Mount Dora, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he moved to Mount Dora in 1987 from Sarasota, Florida. He was a Senior Resident Agent for the US Defense Investigative Services. David was also a member of the Country Club of Mount Dora and the Senior Men’s Golf Organization. He was very active in his church serving as Deacon & Lay Minister at First United Methodist Church, Mount Dora. Major David Magee served in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and was a Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Inez Magee, Mount Dora, FL; step-son, James H. Hollomon, New Smyrna Beach, FL; brother, James Magee, Arlington, VA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Mount Dora on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM.
