Daniel Edward Carroll, age 70, departed this life at 7:35 pm on the 27th of April 2017. He was born on December 2nd, 1946 in a house in Altoona, FL, and was second to the youngest son of Grover Cleveland Carroll and Georgie Elizabeth Byrd. Daniel was an athlete in his youth participating in track and field, basketball, and football. His greatest love was football. He was a sponsor of the Umatilla High School football team in the 70's as well as being a volunteer coach for Woodstock Union High School in Woodstock VT. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a volunteer football coach for Woodstock Union High School in Woodstock, VT. Daniel was a truck Driver, salesman, finish carpenter, and entrepreneur. He owned and operated AAA Carpet Service on Main St. in Leesburg, FL for many years. He was preceded in death by his brothers Buddy, James, David, and Samuel, and by his sisters Alberta Conner, Vivian Scott, and Nancy Hawthorne. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Georgie (Byrd) Carroll, his father, Grover Cleveland Carroll, and his stepmother, Nellie (Rich) Carroll. He is survived by his son, Jonathan Daniel Carroll of Orlando, FL, and his daughter, Angela Joy Carroll of Ludlow, VT. And their mother, Kathy Oldenburg of Johnson, VT, and his youngest brother, Joseph Darrell Carroll of Altoona, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved German Shepard, James Bond.
