Clarence “Charley” Raymond Borns, 88, of Eustis, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020. Born in Caspian, Michigan, he moved to Florida in 1975 from Oregon. He was an inspector working for the United States Department of Agriculture. Charley served in the Navy during Korea from 1951 to 1955. He graduated from California State Polytechnic College-Pomona in 1961. He has lived in the following states: Michigan, California, Oregon and Florida. In retirement, he spent his time farming, tending cattle, playing bridge. He loved music and played the banjo, guitar, and harmonica. Charley is predeceased by his son Paul Leonard; daughters Elaine Esther and Baby Borns; brother Leonard “Smoky” Borns; sisters Norma Flinders and Jeanette Larson, He is survived by his Wife Mary Lou Borns of Eustis, FL; son, Eric Borns of Eustis, FL; daughter, Renee’ Borns of Draper, UT; grandson, Garrett Borns; sister Amy L. Beyer; brother Clifford Borns, and numerous extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Lakeside Inn, Mt. Dora, Florida on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm.
