Charles E. West, 83, of Mount Dora, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he moved to Mount Dora in 1972 from Orlando, Florida.
He and his wife owned & operated 3 businesses, Lake Region Printing, Gail's Mail Service & News Media Directories. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Tavares.
Charles served in the US Air Force during Korea.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gail E. West, Mount Dora, FL; 2 sons, Rev. David L. Smalley, Sebring, FL, Grant West, Miami, FL; 4 daughters, Cheryl Stoffel, Mount Dora, FL, Kathleen Pawlowski, Toledo, OH, Karen Short, Tampa, FL, Gwendolyn Granade, Deland, FL; sister, Marselliese Naugle, Toledo, OH; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church, Tavares on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 2451 Dora Avenue, Tavares, FL 32778 or to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Florida 32778.
