Cecil R. Green, 95, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Henry & Mabel (Jensen) Green, he was the fourth eldest of eight children. Cecil was married to the late Lillian Mae (Jolliffe) Green who passed away November 12, 2009. They were married 58 years. As a young lad in Arthur, Ontario, Canada he worked on the family farm plowing the fields with horses. Cecil moved to Michigan in 1944. He was a great carpenter, building his own home and others build theirs. He belonged to the Carpenters Union. Music was an important part of Cecil & Lillian's lives. They sang in the church choir. Cecil played the fiddle, the saw and many more instruments. He moved to Leesburg in 1994 from Clinton Township, Michigan. Cecil is survived by his 3 brothers, Ken Green, London, Ontario, Canada, Willard (Marion) Green, Fort McCoy, FL; Orlo T. (Gwen) Green, Leesburg, FL. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, MI. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 2 till 3pm. Memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
