Bruce Benjamin Wilson

Mr. Bruce Benjamin Wilson, 59, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 20, 2012 while vacationing with family in Daytona Beach, FL. Born in Hinesville, GA he was the son of Varina Bradley Munson of San Clemente, CA and the late Robert Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a Remote Video Engineer with Raycom Sports and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was active in a number of civic organizations including the Boy Scouts of America and the Civil Air Patrol. In addition to his father, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Conrow. Surviving family members in addition to his mother include his beloved wife of 39 years, Laura Brychel Wilson; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Wilson Diaz (Nelson) of Philadelphia, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce Robert Wilson (Michelle) of Gastonia; grandchildren, Margaret and Claire Diaz, Chandler, Lana and Lincoln Wilson; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Wilson and Janice Dickman (David), all of San Clemente, CA. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Mr. Wilson beginning at 10:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2012 at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with a service of remembrance following at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
