Brenda Leavitt-Saunders

Brenda Leavitt-Saunders 61 of Leesburg Florida and Ellsworth Maine, passed away peacefully at Waterman Advent Hospital in Tavares Florida, on March 9th 2022; with her husband, mother and her son by her side. Brenda was born on June 22, 1960 to Gerry and Jackie Leavitt. Brenda graduated Ellsworth High School in 1979, then went on to study Social Services at UMA, with an Associate’s Degree. She went on to earn her CNA. Over the years she worked various jobs and helped her parents at Mill Mall Furniture and enjoyed being a homemaker in the later years. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in her life came on May 5th, 1987 when her son Brandon was born. Brenda enjoyed reading and going on rides, exploring Florida; and in the summer, Brenda loved spending time with her friends and family at Timberland Acres Campground. She was looking forward to her upcoming visit in May as she was planning a surprise party for her son. A special thank you to her friend Rhoda Burke, for looking out for Brenda and her family, and for helping during the family’s time of loss. She was predeceased by her father, Gerry Leavitt in July of 2006. Brenda is survived by her husband, Allan Saunders of Leesburg, FL, and Ellsworth, her son Brandon Leavitt of Trenton, ME her mother Jackie Leavitt of Leesburg FL and Ellsworth, ME; her Uncle Albert Leavitt of Paisley FL, Uncle Herbert and wife Judy of Exeter, ME, Morris Leavitt Jr. and wife Susan of Dona Vista Florida, Aunt Frances Jordan of Corinth ME. She is also survived by many friends and children that were special to her. A summer celebration of life will be held at Timberland Acres Campground on June 18th at 4:00pm. Friends and family are all invited to come celebrate Brenda.
