Boyce A. Williams

Boyce A. Williams Jr., 80, of Tavares, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012. Born in Leesburg, Florida, he was lifelong resident of Lake County. He retired as a manager with Foremost Fertilizer Company. Mr. Williams was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Leesburg and was an avid Florida Gators football fan. Boyce served in the U.S. Army during Korea, he was former president of the Lake County Gators Club, served on the Recreation Board of Leesburg for many years, and formerly on the board of the South West Florida Water Management District. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Cannon Williams; sisters, Barbara Warner and Lucille Deems. He is survived by Daughters and Sons-in-law - Beverly (Gary) Booth of Tavares, FL, Barbara (Michael) Mattox of Leesburg, FL; and Grandchildren - Jason Booth, Kara Mattox and Casey Mattox. Memorial services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church of Leesburg, on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church.
