Betty Cowan Ayers, 74, of Mount Dora, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Born in Albany, KY, she moved to Mount Dora in 1998 from Orlando, Florida. She worked for the Civil Service as a seamstress with the US Navy. Betty is survived by her daughter, Georgette Ayers of Eustis, FL; son, Mark Murphy of Albany, KY; brother, Jesse Cowan of Indiana; sister, Mae Westeen of Orlando, FL; 2 grandchildren, Liana Murphy & Garrett Brasher. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at 6:00 PM. Interment will be at Hunter Cemetery, Byrdstown, Tennessee.
