Bernita Ruth Freer, 99, of Eustis, died on Saturday, December 8. Bernita was a lifelong traveler as the wife of a PAA pilot and circumvented the globe several times. Born in Paducah, Kentucky, she moved to Miami at the age of 19. She and her husband Jack moved to Eustis when he retired in 1985. She was active in the church and was a soloist in the choir. She raised three children, who survive her: Douglas B. (Jackie) Freer, Round Rock, TX, Dawn Freer (Peter), Stanfordville, NY, and John Eric (Eva) Freer, Knoxville, TN; and has 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Hope Freer, and her husband, John Edward Freer. Services at First Presbyterian Church, Eustis on Saturday, December 15, at 1:00 PM.
