Bernadette (Berni) Camille Pitroff, 73, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. Born in Liverpool, England, Berni had quite an exciting time in her youth. She worked for a travel company, leading tourists on adventures all over Europe. She had a passion for travel, culture and the arts. Bernadette met her husband on one of her many travel excursions in Crete, Greece. After marrying, they had their first of two daughters and moved to Utah in the US and then finally to Florida to be close to her husband’s side of the family. She was at stay-at-home mom, raising two daughters, but did eventually reenter the workforce to work for local retail stores and shops in Mount Dora. Berni knew no strangers. She was charming, lively and loved to be social. She had so many friends and loved to spend quality time with them. She was loved by so many. She is survived by her daughters, Joelle Pitroff of Tavares and Kirsten (daughter) & Damien Daly (Son-in-law) of Vero Beach, along with her three brothers, Joseph Fitzibbon of France, Steve Fitzgibbon of England and Gary Fitzgibbon of London, England. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Pitroff, father and mother Joseph and Elisabeth Fitzgibbon. A celebration of life will be held at The Daly’s Residency, on Saturday, April 17th from 3pm-5pm. Memorial donations may be made to The Mount Dora Center For The Arts. Online Guestbook available at
