Benjamin H. Jackson

Benjamin H. Jackson, 79, of Sorrento, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, he moved to Sorrento in 1975 from Witchita, Kansas. He retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant serving during Korea & Vietnam. He was a Special Technical Mechanic with B-52 Bomber Jets during his military career. He was a member of Family Bible Church and a former member of Sabel Point Country Club in Longwood, FL. He loved to golf and accomplished (4) hole-in-one shots during his life. He also loved to help those in need. He is survived by his wife, Maryann O. Jackson, Sorrento, FL; 2 daughters, Linda M. Julius, Mulvane, KS, Leeanna J. Dallaportas, Sorrento, FL; 2 sisters, Betty Jane Tanton, Morgantown, WV, Sharon Ann Thorne, Morgantown, WV; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, James W. Jackson, Jr. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 Noon till 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to either Family Bible Church of Eustis or Cornerstone Hospice of Tavares.
