Barbara L. Hofmeister

Barbara L. Hofmeister, 90, of Eustis, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023. Born in Caro, Michigan, she moved to Eustis in 1972 from Unionville, Michigan. She worked in a variety of health care positions including medical technology, x-ray technician and LPN in both public and private health care. Her true passion was her family. As a homemaker, she provided comfort and guidance to her extended family from Michigan to Florida. Barbara was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church, Eustis, serving as an Elder, a member of the choir for 50 years, helping out in the soup kitchen and making quilts for children in need. She is survived by her 3 sons, David H. (Patricia) Hofmeister, Auburn Hills, MI, Paul K. (Gretel) Hofmeister, Toney, AL, Tom L. (Dawn) Hofmeister, Eustis, FL; daughter, Becky (Stoney) Newman, Umatilla, FL; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Hofmeister; and grandson, Michael D. Hofmeister. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 till 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
