Anne Douglas Lanier

Anne Douglas Lanier, 81, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, she moved to Central Florida in 1955 from Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Anne was a graduate of the Eustis Highschool class of 1961. She helped design and set up for their 50th reunion. Following high school Anne attended Lake Sumter Community College where she studied Banking and Finance. She worked in Banking and Mortgage for 15 years. Anne retired from the Lake County Veterans Services after working and serving our local veterans and their families for over 15 years. In retirement, she worked in church offices designing and making the church bulletins for 6 years. In the early 1970's, Anne performed on stage with The Wright Brothers a County and Gospel music band. She sang with the band throughout Lake, Orange, and Marion Counties and live on the radio during the Sunday Afternoon Gospel Hour. Her most requested songs were "You Ain't Woman Enough" and "One Day at a Time". She has stayed strong in her Faith throughout her life. John 3:16 has been her most inspirational Bible Verse. She was Baptized at the Orange Avenue Baptist Church and has been devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ. Anne is predeceased by her Husband of 52 years, David G. Lanier, Sr.; Son, Wayne Lanier; Daughter Lori Lanier; Grandson, Cody James Curth; and Brother Henry A. Douglas. She is survived by Son, David G. Lanier of Eustis, FL; Daughter, Annette L. Snodgress of Eustis, FL; Grandchildren, Jesse Curth, Kal Lanier, Dustin Lanier, Maddison Lanier, Samantha Snodgress, and Jacob Snodgress; and by numerous extended family and friends. Memoria services will be held at Our Journey Church, 816 E Alfred St., Tavares, FL 32778, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter or rescue.
