Alice A. Haubert, 93, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. Born in Canton, Ohio, she started coming to Eustis in 1968 with her husband, William, to run Eustis Redi Mix and later Eustis Block and Supply. She was a loving and caring woman who could affect a positive attitude with her smile and kind words. People were instantly drawn to her and she was Grandma and Mom to many. Alice was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell Telephone then a full time mom with an open door for all. Alice loved her coffee and occasionally a fuzzy naval. “Grandma” liked to go to a casino and loved bar bingo at Tillies. Alice was a regular attendee at the Eustis City Commission meetings, local community events and a local meet up group “Wednesday Friends.” There was a loyalty to most things Cleveland such as the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers. Alice had a special love for all animals. She also loved reading books and completing word search puzzles. Alice is survived by her 2 daughters, Marie H. Aliberti, Eustis, FL, Susie (Larry) Chavis-Finn, Eustis, FL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Haubert, Sr.; son, William S. Haubert, Jr; and 2 daughters, Rebecca Ann Haubert, Gretchen Renee Nuske. There will be a gathering to celebrate Alice's life at Ferran Park on Lake Eustis on Friday, January 26th, 2018 at 5:30 PM. Online Guestbook available at
