Alfred Buck

August 9, 1944 — August 25, 2021

Alfred Buck, 77, of Center Hill, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey to the late William H. & Sarah (Morrison) Buck, he moved to Center Hill in the late 1990's from Bridgeton, NJ. He was a Security guard at Bridgeton Hospital, prior to his retirement. Alfred was a member of the Covenant Life Church of God, Fruitland Park, FL, and attended the Branded Hearts Ministry of Center Hill. A devoted husband, father and follower of Jesus Christ. Described by those who knew him as a "really good guy", "my hero" "favorite uncle", "a man of few words, yet when he spoke, you listened". If you know Al well, when you think of him, you think of him on his bicycle enjoying his gators and snakes. It wasn't unusual to get photos from him showing you his "prize" finds. Al enjoyed tinkering and building things. If he didn't know how to do something, he'd set his mind to the challenge, watch youtube videos and almost always complete the task. Some of his latest projects were desks and tables for his wife's office, a farmhouse table for the dining room and most recently a baby changing table for his future great grandchild. One of Al's greatest privileges was to minister to prisoners. He believed in the goodness of all people and considered it a privilege to give them words to edify their life. Al was the most tender-hearted, caring husband who always looked out for the welfare of his wife over himself. He truly made her feel like a queen all the time. His family, friends and church already feel the loss of this wonderful soldier of the cross, who loved everybody unconditionally. Our loss is God's gain. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8. Al is survived by his wife, Judy L. Buck of Center Hill, FL; son, Alfred W. Buck of Upper Neck, NJ; “adopted children” through his marriage to Judy Buck, Matthew Michael Morgan, Andrew Clay; sister, Joanne Kimble of Rosehayn, NJ; Sister-in-Law, Carol Buck; grandchildren, Cole Buck, Alex Hurst, Gina Hurst, Tayla and Ben Robinson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Dawn Buck and his oldest brother, William H. Buck, Jr. Memorial Services will be held at the Covenant Life Church of God, Fruitland Park, on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
