Alberta Smith Fowler, 73, of Eustis, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts to the late Paul & Priscilla Smith, she moved to Grand Island in 1957, as a young girl, from Newport, Rhode Island. She attended Eustis Heights Elementary and Eustis High School before receiving her diploma from Howey Academy. Alberta earned an Associate’s Degree from Orlando Junior College, her bachelor's degree from Rollins College and her cosmetology license from Vo-Tech (Lake Tech). After marrying, Billy Fowler, her family purchased Eustis Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Eustis. In 1981, she began working as a volunteer and Teacher's Aide at Roseborough Elementary in Mount Dora, Alberta worked at Walmart for many years and also in the cafeteria at Eustis High School. In 1992, she and Billy owned and operated The Car Doctor Automotive Specialist, Inc in Eustis. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Billy Fowler. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Jolie Fowler; granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Wesley) Graves; two grandsons, Kyle (Amy) Fowler and Chandler Fowler and great-grandson, Parker Graves. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Private interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
