Al King, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 23, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin A King, Sr. and his mother, Elizabeth King. Al is survived by his wife Brenda; daughter Brandy Nichole Walker; son-in-law Justin R. Walker; grandson, Grasyn R. Walker; step-daughter Amanda Gorman; son-in-law Patrick Gorman; grandsons, Patrick Gorman and Garrett Gorman. Al was born in Sarona, WI on August 31, 1947. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, loved his country and was a proud American. After the Vietnam war, Al moved to Missouri to work for Proctor & Gamble; retiring after 32 years. Al had a passion for living and went after what he wanted in life. He always welcomed new opportunities to help people. He loved collecting and selling coins so much he went to school to become a professional Numismatic. He was a die-hard Cardinals fan and loved any type of sports. One of his favorite past times was fishing. He was a superb fisherman. He enjoyed “treasure hunting” for antiques and collectibles and was a licensed auctioneer. He loved surprising his wife with various special trips and adventures that would put a smile on her face. He was a man of action, who was passionate about his relationship with God and helping his fellow man. His warmth, his smile and his friendship will be dearly missed by his wife, family and friends, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Creator. The Memorial Service for Al will be held this Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Harden-Pauli Funeral Home located at 1617 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726. Online Guestbook available at
