Thomas Paul "Tom Tom" Slattery

Thomas Paul "TomTom" Slattery, 64, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023. Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, he moved to Leesburg in 2011 from Jacksonville, Florida. He was a iron worker for the Union 199 Hall and an iron worker for East Coast Metals. Tommy was a loving husband to Nancy Moore for 23 years, an amazing father to Jessica Haggard and a one-of-a-kind grandpa to his 3 grandsons: Waylon James Haggard, Jonathan Ryan Haggard and Jacob James Haggard. He is predeceased by his parents, Edward Slattery and Fabina V. Gurney. Tommy was a big kid at heart and would do anything for anyone. He was the kind of guy that if you met him, you would not forget him. He went through so much in his years of iron work. He once fell 22 stories and was in the ICU for several months. He had to learn how to walk and talk again. He never gave up! Tommy will be missed, loved and never forgotten.
