John I. Blankenship, Sr., 82, of Eustis, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Florida in 1995 from Denver, CO. He was a System Installer with National Distributers Service. John was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis and a member of the Knights of Columbus. John served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was a member of the American Legion. John was a Tennessee Squire, he was active with the Eustis Historical Museum, and was a member of the Train Collectors of America. John is survived by his Wife, Melanie Blankenship of Eustis, FL; Son and Daughter In Law, John Jr. and Christine Zuber Blankenship of Chicago, IL, 3 Granddaughters, Taylor, Alexandria and Samantha, Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. Memorial donations may be made to the Eustis Historical Museum, 536 North Bay Street, Eustis, Florida 32726-3439.
